Q. Aqua Painter. What is it? Do I need one? How do I use it?

A. This awesome tool is so versatile and easy to use! It works great with Stampin'Up!'s(TM) Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Classic ’ Pads, Stampin' Ink refills and other mediums to pull and blend colors. It is a pen with a barrel that will hold up to 8 cc of liquid with a brush tip on the end. Like a automatic watercolor brush that you don't have to keep dipping into water.And cleaning the painter is simple—just pass a couple of strokes on scrap paper to remove color. You won’t need multiple pens for all your colors; one pen is all you need!

    

You can use the Aqua Painter to pull colors to blend and soften them. I use mine all the time. It is a staple in my stamping supplies. I feel it is one of the most versatile tools that I have and I can use it with so many of my color mediums. It takes a little practice to learn to use it. But isn't anything that you have in your life that is valuable worth a little effort to conquer?

To use, carefully squeeze the barrel of the painter. If too much pressure is applied, liquid may come out too fast. For best results, empty the barrel and wipe moisture from the brush tip for storage. You can place 8 cc of water or water-soluble liquid (with the consistency of water) in the refillable reservoir. Have you ever needed a Birthday Card at the last Minute?

It's been a busy weekend. We had a Birthday Stamp-A-Stack. I thought I would share a couple of the cards with you.

 

 

This is a cute box made from the new Big Shot die, "Bag w/ Scallops". We made it in the Love That Big Shot Stamp Camp. It is so easy and this little container has so much potential.

We sponged the embossed area of the Cherry Blossom with Pretty in Pink ink to give the flower dimension. 

Today is another "spring like day". So I just had to pull out some spring feeling paper. With spring comes parties. laughter, fun. You know the routine. So here is a fun, fun card the I made to lighten the day.

I've got some new sample to show you today. I wanted to work some on the images that I have been posting. I can't seem to get the image as nice as the cards actually are. I'm going to have to work on my photography and scanning skills.

 

This card is made with a beautiful new set "Thoughts &Prayers". This has got to be one of the most versatile sets in the new Spring Summer 2009 Idea Book and Catalog from Stampin'Up! If you haven't seen this set, you have got to see it. Just click on the catalog to the left and take a look. It's on page 58.

Love You Much stamp set is awesome. I have had a lot of fun using it. This is another card we made in our Valentines SAS last Saturday. It's hard to see on the scan but we embossed the heart on this card with Iridescent Ice. I just steps it up. Then we "outlined and filled in" the open lines with the white gel pen. We punched through the front of the card and attached the Red Riding Hood hearts to the inside of the card. It makes a very nice effect.
