This is a question that was asked of a group of us this week. Other than card stock, ink and stamps. What other tool would it be that you should not live with out? I have taken a day to think about it and it has been a very hard decision. The thing that I have that I absolutely grab all the time is my BIG SHOT. I never dreamed it would turn out this way when I purchased it in the fall of 2008.
The BIG SHOTis a manual multipurpose die-cutting system. It quickly and easily creates die-cut or embossed shapes, envelopes, tags, and baskets. It's great for cards, scrapbook pages, home décor, and so much more. You can cut a cut a variety of materials with it including card stock, vinyl, tin cans, rubber, wood, plastic, and so many other materials. No electricity required to use it and it is very portable. It even has a "doctor's bag" made especially to carry it around to clubs, crops or where ever you would like to take it. That is sold separately. The really cool thing is you can use dies from any die manufacturer with the BIG SHOT but Stampin'Up! has commissioned with Sizzix to make some EXCLUSIVE dies and embossing folders to match some the their stamp sets. How cool is that? The BIG SHOT machine comes with 2 standard cutting pads and Multi-Purpose Platform when you purchase it from Stampin'Up!. All other dies and accessories are sold separately. The Multi-Purpose Platform is made up of plastic pages and a thick platform. You can flip these pages over to use, or to move out of the way, depending on what "sandwich" you are using and the thickness you need to run through the machine. The GREATEST thing about this is the instructions are written right on each page for so you don't have to find your instructions or a manual each time you go to use it.
Now is the BEST time to purchase the BIG SHOT. With the Sale-a-bration Promotion you will get the most BANG for YOUR BUCK when purchasing the BIG SHOT. Remember you get FREE PRODUCT for every $50 you spend!

Today I wanted to show you a very simple card that is elegant. This is a quick card to make. Honestly!
All I did was fold a 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" Pretty in Pink #100459 in half then I took a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White #100730 and ran it through the Big Shot #113439 with the Impressions Embossing Folder - Finial Press #115963. After that I took the Scallop Border Punch #118402 (a FREE punch in the Sale-a-bration Promotion) and punched the bottom edge. I attached that to the "base card", Pretty in Pink. Next, I stamped the hearts on Whisper White in Stampin'Up! Classic Ink Pretty in Pink #101301 and the "Valentine" saying also. It comes from a Hostess Level I set ""Holiday Best". I cut the hearts out using my Paper Snips #103579. If you have never used these scissors, they are the bomb for cutting paper. And I punched the saying out with the Oval Scallop punch #144889. I also punched 2 ovals out of Pretty in Pink card stock. Then you can layer the saying onto the 2 Pretty in Pink ovals with them off set so that it looks like they are a bigger oval. Thats my "Tip for the Day".
I used the 2 Way Glue Pen #100425 and Dazzling Diamondson the Hearts, adhered them to the card with Stampin' Dimenionals and the oval saying. The last thing is tie some Satin Ribbon (Pretty In Pink # 117289) around the top of the card. Voila! Honestly, this card took less than 15 mins to complete. If you are making them assembly line if you would like to make ore than one it could take less time per card.
Don't forget that with the purchase of this stamp set $2 goes to the HAITI RELIEF FUND!
I had 2 challenges to complete today. One is complete and the other is still pending. Will you help me complete it?
OK, the first was to make a "Special Order" card for a very nice lady that called me wanting a card for her husband that just had heart bypass surgery. She gave me specifics of what she wanted and the card and what he liked. From there, I have designed a card specially for him. Would you like to see it? OK. I'll show it to you if you will please listen to my 2nd challenge.
The 2nd Challenge was to add at least FIVE (5) NEW fans to my STAMP WITH GLENDA FACEBOOK PAGE. I need your help to do that. You can CLICK HERE TO JOIN. Also PLEASE invite you friends to join too! I will be ever so grateful. Alright....so here is the card I made. I hope it was worth the time you took to read my plea.....
