Peekaboo, it's your Birthday

You can make such fun Birthday Cards with the Peekaboo Frames die (#124587). Put this on your christmas Wishlist. To make this card you want to start with a base of Wild Wasabi cardstock (#108641) cut at 8-1/2" x 5-1/2". Fold in half. Next you want to cut a piece of Pretty in Pink (#100459) 4" 5-1/4". cut a piece of Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper (#124339) cut at 3-3/4" x 5". Layer these pieces together, Wrap a piece of 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon - Blushing Bride (#119267)Around the bottom half of the layered cardstock and Designer Series Paper. Now attach this to the card base. You can now take another piece of ribbon and tie it onto the ribbon attached to the base. This make a very easy and simple "bow". Next I cut the frame from the Peekaboo Frames die with wild Wasabi cardstock. A piece of Whisper White cardtstock was cut at 2" x 2". Stamp your image for inside the frame and color. I used the cupcake from Easy Events (#123225). Attach this to the back of your frame. The So Saffron cardstock (#105118) was cut at 2-1/2" X 2-1/2" . Attach your frame to this piece next. Now you can attach this layer to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

To add a ittle pizazz, I  cut a piece of Pretty in Pink at 1-3/8" x 1-3/8", Whisper White at 1-1/4" x 1-1/4". I stamped my image using Loads of Love Accessories (#115025) and colored. I layered the 2 pieces and attached ti the "door" of the frame. Oh, I almost forgot, I used Dazzling Diamonds (#102023) to the presents. Now you have a complete Birthday card that will delight someone of any age. Let me know if you need any help with this card or need supplies.

Great card for Kids

Kids love interactive greeting cards. Do you remember playing Peak-a-Boo as a kid? Bring back those memories and have some fun with the delightful handmade card.

I uesd the Peekaboo Frames Die (#124587) and the Big Shot to cut out these cute round frames. This die cuts 5 different frames. The base card is 5-1/2" x 8-1/4" Baseful Blue card stock folded in half to make a 5-12" x 4-1/4" card. The Whisper White (#100730) is cut at 5-2/4" x 4" and embossed with the Northern Flurry Texturedd Impressions Embossing Folder (#120902). Attach the mittens from the Winter wishes Stitched Felt (#124108) with a Jumbo Brad (#112534). I used the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set (#121187) stamped on Whisper White and punched with the 1-3/8" circle punch (#119860). Attach them to the back side of the BAshful Blue frames and attach this to the Whisper White.

Handmade Decorative Plates - a great gift for the Holidays.

Recently we had a class on Christmas Gifts. Interchangeable scenes for glass plates were on the agenda for the day. You can change out the inserts for each season attaching with glue dots.

Fun Peek-a-Boo for Christmas

I recieved my new PeekaBoo Frame Die a while ago. Well, it was time to get it out and get some use out of it. This die is in the Holiday Mini Catalog. It contains 5 different shape frames. Over the next week I will share with you more cards with the different shapes..come back often to see more.

When making this card, I started out with a Whisper White (100730) card base. The layer is Riding Hood Red (111348) cut at 4" x 5-1/4". The PeekaBoo Squares were cut from the die and Big Shot using Lucky Limeade (122926). The stamped images under the flaps were stamped from the stamp set Jolly Bingo Bits (c-121187; w-120857) in StazOn ink and colored. They were then punched out with the 1" Square punch (124094) and adhered to the backside of the frames. The frames were attached to the top half of the Riding Hood Red.  The bow is 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (125059). The greeting was stamped with Riding Hood Red from the stamp set Season of Joy (110384). I was punched with the LArge Oval punch (119855) and layered on to a piece of Lucky Limeade punched with the Scallop Circle (119856). Embellish as needed.

Tis' the Season for an adorable Hobby Horse

 

Isn't this just the cutest? The Hobby Horse is made from the Stocking Builder punch (124095) and Stitched Stocking stamp set c (123784) w (123782). I saw this idea on a site called Stampin' Connectio. This is a site provided by Stampin'Up! to it's demonstrators. Contact me to see how you can have access 1000's of awesome samples.

To make this card, I cut a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"piece of Real Red cardstock (102482) and then folded it in half. Take a piece of Whisper White (100730) cut at 5-1/4" x 4" run it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder (117335). Attach to the Real Red. The Hobby Horse is made by stamping the Stocking with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink (100908) and punched out with the Stocking Builder punch. The mussel and ears are punched with Crumb Cake (120953). The mane is made using Early Espresso Baker's Twine (123124). I used Red Glimmer paper (121790) to punch the neck piece.  I used Basic Pearls for the eye and mouth. The halter is made from 1/8" Taffeta ribbon (119251) After assembling the head, I wraped a "lollie pop" stick with the Taffeta ribbon. Attach the halter. I attached the horse with Stampin' Dimensionals (104430). The greeting was stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic ink (100908) on Whisper White. Then layered on  Chocolate Chip cardstock and attached together with a Red GLitter Brad (Brights-121006). The lollie pop stick can be found at a local Dept Store. they are by Wilton. Easy Peasy Shaker Card

You can not image how easy it is to make a Shaker Card using Stampin'Up! Shaker Frames (124155)gi. I have made a few Shaker Cards over the years and found them to be not only time consuming but quite baffling. NOW, I have found an easy peasy way and will be making a lot more of them.

The double-sided adhesive foam circles work perfectly. They come in a pack of 36. There are 6 sets of nested circles that measure 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/2" and 1-3/4". Order your today...You will NOT be disappointed! for this card I used:

Folded Paper Christmas Trees

These Christmas trees are made from 1/2 of a 3" circle. We made these in a recent class. The stars are cut with the Big Shot (113439) and Stars # 2 die (113461). The Cherry Cobler cardstock is embossed with the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder (116824). The ribbon is 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon from the Stampin'Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. This was all layered onto Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla cardstock. Four the Holidays was used for the Season's Greetings. I used some "retired" Designer Series Paper - Deck the Halls for the Christmas Trees. We all know how we like to use up our scraps. LOL

Here is a Template for the fold of the tree. It doesn't mattter what size circle you use the template will be the same for the folds.

A little handmade gift.

Yesterday we made paper Christmas trees in Stamp Class. These are a perfect handmade holiday gift for someone that is in a nursing home, a college dorm room or anyone. These are so much fun to make. All you need is paper, a lollie pop stick (or any other type of stick) a spool and hot glue gun.

I cut my circles at 6", 5", 4", 3", and 2". Take the circles and fold them in a mountain/valley fashion. I found it easiest to start by folding in half and then in half the opposite way making a cross. Then I folded each of those in half and continued until I had the fold I wanted. Next I cut a tiny hole in the center of each one. Layer them one at a time and secure with hot glue on the under side. Next I  glued the spool to a 2-3/8" scollop piece of cardstock. I then inserted the stick into the spool and used hot glue to secure it. then you can add a tree topper. I used a star punch and added a little Dazzling Diamonds.

The supplies I used were Stampin'Up! if available. The others were picked up at a "big box" store.
