I wanted to tell you a little about being a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator and owning your own Paper Crafts Business. I just celebrated a "milestone" in my career. In February, I marked my 10th year with Stampin'Up! and an Independent Business Owner. It feels GOOD! It has not always been an easy road and it has been hard work at times BUT so worth it. When I first started out with Stampin'Up, I went to my first "Stamping Workshop". A friend and I decided we just had to have access to these awesome stamps and quality products all the time. So we basically "drew straws" to see who would "sign-up". Guess who "lost"? In reality I WON! This business has been a BLESSING. When you own your business there are a lot of "perks". You get to meet a lot of people that you never think about meeting in your life. Yes, people come and go but some stay with you and enrich your life as you enrich theirs. You get to bring happiness into others lives. You get to make smiles, relieve stress, help make the world a better place. You get to do all the nice and fun things all the while you are making money. How many can say that about their job? With Paper Crafting, I have been able to travel to places that I might not other wise been able to go. I have reached goals, continued and sought out educational opportunities that were once thought out of my reach. I have grown as a person. It is much more than just a job to go to each day. It has truly turned into a passion not only for my self but a passion to help others succeed and grow in their own business also. I think it all boils down to people helping people enjoy a part of their life, making memories, preserving them and sharing what I love. Charlotte Today...A few more samples from the show

What’s for Dinner? I’m not sure but I’m responsible for the table decorations. Wow! Embosslits ALERT! How to reduce wear and tear!

It has been brought to my attention that there is a correct way to place an EMBOSSLITS DIE into the Big Shot. Did you know that? I know that on the Embosslits it has "Place this side down". We all know that it means to place this side facing down on the Multipurpose Platform when you crank it through the Big Shot.

Well, there is another thing about placing your Embosslit into the Big Shot to reduce the wear and tear. If you think about it you will agree. As the "sandwich" is cranked through the roller there is a hugh amount of pressure applied. You want to not only place the writing side down, what about placing the hinged side so that it goes vertically through the machine. That produces less pressure on the hinges. Let me show you a picture.

Does this explain it more? A picture is worth a thousand words. This way takes a lot of the pressure off of the hinges and reduces the wear and tear on your actual embosslits. They will last longer.

Haitian Disaster Relief Update and I (Heart) Hearts Promotion - Only 4 days left

I just wanted to give you an update on Stampin'Up!'s progress on our Haitian Disaster Relief efforts. There are just a few days left to participate in Stampin′ Up!’s Haitian relief efforts! Until February 28, 2010, Stampin′ Up! is setting aside $2 from the sale of select stamp sets to be donated to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. So far, demonstrators around the world have sold 11,895 sets, which equates to over $20,000 to be donated to this fund--but don’t stop now! You still have a few days left to participate in this effort and Make a Difference in lives of those who continue to suffer in Haiti.
