This is absolutely a favorite of mine. I think this bunny looks so real and yummy. Don't you? I love using the Textured Impressions folders to "dry emboss". It is so easy and cool looking. You can never get this crisp look with manual dry embossing.

Doesn't bright colors always make you happy and feel better? That's the way I feel when I see them so when I'm creating cards that I want to make someone feel better I tend to make it colorful. Stampin'Up! has a great color palate for bright cheerful colors. This years IN COLORS are just the thing for making you feel good. The colors are deep, rich and vibrant. This little dog is so cute it would make anyone smile. With this card I used:

It has been brought to my attention that there is a correct way to place
an EMBOSSLITS DIE into the Big Shot. Did you know that? I know that on the Embosslits
it has "Place this side down". We all know that it means to place
this side facing down on the Multipurpose Platform when you
crank it through the Big Shot.
Well, there is another thing about placing your Embosslit into the Big Shot to reduce the wear and tear. If you think about it you will agree. As the "sandwich" is cranked through the roller there is a hugh amount of pressure applied. You want to not only place the writing side down, what about placing the hinged side so that it goes vertically through the machine. That produces less pressure on the hinges. Let me show you a picture.
Does this explain it more? A picture is worth a thousand words. This way takes a lot of the pressure off of the hinges and reduces the wear and tear on your actual embosslits. They will last longer.
I hope this quick tip helps your use your Big Shot more proficiently. Let me know what you think by leaving me a comment below.
A GREAT Birthday Card. I am CRAZY FOR CUPCAKES! I love to stamp them, smell them cooking and of coarse eat them. Cupcakes are always a great idea for a Birthday Card.
Here I used Dazzling Diamonds to add a little WOW to this card. It's the little things that you can do to a card that makes the difference.
A few more things to point out here include the "Faux Stitching". Have you ever done this technique? It's really easy....I used my Mat Pack #105826, Paper Piercing Tool #166631 and the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen #105021. Take the paper-piercing template and place it on top of the card stock you would like to "stitch" or punch the holes. Place these on the paper-piercing mat. Take the Paper-piercing Tool and use the template to line up and evenly space your holes. After you have completed this, take the Signo Gel Pen and "connect the dots". There you have it. It looks like it has been stitched on the sewing machine. Go ahead and give it a try. If you need the supplies to do this, please contact me. I'll be happy to get them to you.
For this card I used:

Stamp lots of Birthday CARDS! Today we had a Birthday Bash Stamp-a-Stack. I thought I would share some of the cards with you over the next several days. So check back if you want to see some fun Birthday cards.
This is one of the favorites of the day. It is made with the Big Shot #113439 and the Flower, Daisies #2 Die #114521. We cut the Daisies out of Whisper White Card stock #100730. Cut 2 so that you can layer 2 of the largest flowers. Then you can layer a medium sized flower on top. We punched out a circle with the 3/4" circle punch #107217 in Crushed Curry card stock #115319 and sponged the edges with Classic Crushed Curry Ink #115659 and Sponge Dauber #102892. This was adhered with a Stampin' Dimensionals #104430. Here is a close-up.
This was layered on Basic Blackcard stock #102851, Crushed Curry card stock #115319 and again on Basic Black card stock card base. We stamped the saying from A Little Birthday Cheer #115018 on Whisper White and punched it out with the Word Window Punch #105090; then layered it on Crushed Curry punched out with the Modern Label Punch #116630. These were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. Next we punched a "slit" with the Horizontal Slot punch #105089 in the right lower corner and tied Crushed Curry 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon #115614. Because of the Basic Black card stock case we adhered a Whisper white layer to the inside of the card for a verse and greeting. This was trimmed on the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch #107214.
Hope you like this card.It looks like spring and today felt a lot like it. As I said before, I will share more of the Birthday cards this week.

Today I pulled down myBIG SHOT and made this card in a snap. It looks a little springy and I thought it would be a good card to tell someone with the "winter blues" that I am thinking about them. I know everyone is so ready for spring. I, personally, love these sunny cold days.

Today I decided to "recycle" and GO GREEN (#117074) in anticipation of St. Patrick's Day. This was a thought I had mulled around in my head. I had a friend/customer here that was asking about what she could do with a Big Shot if she bought it. This was a quick card that was floating around and I thought....Go ahead and show her. Well, she liked it. Actually she ohhhh'd and ahhhhh'd. I think the Big Shot is now on her Wish List. What about you? Want to learn more about the Big Shot or any other of Stampin'Up!'s awesome products? Just ask me! I am so happy to tell you.
