Today we had a Simply Unique Stampers Team meeting. That's when "our team" has our fun meeting to get together, talk about our stamping business, do some training, share ideas and stamp a little. This is the make-n-take that I prepared for them. They seemed to like it. We haven't been using our Shimmer Paint much since Christmas. It's a great accessory to jazz up a card so I thought it was time to pull it out and get some new use out of it. Like everyone else, we always want to get the most "bang for our buck".
I saw a card made similar to this one by another demonstrator and thought how cute it was. I love the way she used the Petals-A_Plenty Impressions Folder to make Daisy Flowers. I took the idea and changed to idea around, added some punches. What do you think? Leave me a comment below in the Comments section. I love hearing from you.

Every Spring we move our clocks one hour ahead and "lose" an hour during the night. Daylight Saving Time wasn't just created to confuse our schedules. The phrase "Spring forward, Fall back" helps people remember how Daylight Saving Time affects their clocks. At 2 a.m. on the second Sunday in March, we set our clocks forward one hour ahead of Standard Time ("Spring forward"). The change to Daylight Saving Time allows us to use less energy in lighting our homes by taking advantage of the longer and later daylight hours. Daylight Saving Time was instituted in the United States during World War I in order to save energy for war production by taking advantage of the later hours of daylight between April and October. During World War II the federal government again required the states to observe the time change. Between the wars and after World War II, states and communities chose whether or not to observe Daylight Saving Time. In 1966, Congress passed the Uniform Time Act, which standardized the length of Daylight Saving Time. Daylight Saving Time is four weeks longer since 2007 due to the passage of the Energy Policy Act in 2005. The Act extended Daylight Saving Time by four weeks from the second Sunday of March to the first Sunday of November, with the hope that it would save 10,000 barrels of oil each day through reduced use of power by businesses during daylight hours. Unfortunately, it is exceedingly difficult to determine energy savings from Daylight Saving Time and based on a variety of factors, it is possible that little or no energy is saved by Daylight Saving Time.

I wanted to tell you a little about being a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator and owning your own Paper Crafts Business. I just celebrated a "milestone" in my career. In February, I marked my 10th year with Stampin'Up! and an Independent Business Owner. It feels GOOD! It has not always been an easy road and it has been hard work at times BUT so worth it.Do youknow that feeling?
When I first started out with Stampin'Up, I went to my first "Stamping Workshop". A friend and I decided we just had to have access to these awesome stamps and quality products all the time. So we basically "drew straws" to see who would "sign-up". Guess who "lost"? In reality I WON! This business has been a BLESSING. When you own your business there are a lot of "perks". You get to meet a lot of people that you never think about meeting in your life. Yes, people come and go but some stay with you and enrich your life as you enrich theirs. You get to bring happiness into others lives. You get to make smiles, relieve stress, help make the world a better place. You get to do all the nice and fun things all the while you are making money. How many can say that about their job? With Paper Crafting, I have been able to travel to places that I might not other wise been able to go. I have reached goals, continued and sought out educational opportunities that were once thought out of my reach. I have grown as a person. It is much more than just a job to go to each day. It has truly turned into a passion not only for my self but a passion to help others succeed and grow in their own business also. I think it all boils down to people helping people enjoy a part of their life, making memories, preserving them and sharing what I love. If you would be interested in sharing your passion, helping others smile, take a few minutes to preserve memories and make some extra cash to go on vacation or buy that extra for your family, contact me and let's talk about being a Stampin'Up Demonstrator. You might just be the WINNER of the "short straw" too.
